Multicultural health brokers, helping immigrants and refugee's

This half hour documentary is about three immigrant families who experience difficulties as they try to access the health care system and other public institutions. The video is also about Edmonton's Multicultural Health Brokers co-op. This is a worker's co-operative of fifteen immigrant women who strive to help these families to sustain and improve their health.

These women act as "brokers" between immigrants and the service providers who work in the health, family and social services, law-
enforcement and education systems. The video is a testimony to the success of the cultural brokers and to the resiliency of immigrant and refugee families.
